New Providence Performance - Small Ensembles
The first performance of the Christmas Season was by the Small Ensembles at New Providence Presbyterian Church on Thursday, December 1st. It was a wonderful performance by all. We sang for the congregation, as well as any other folks who wanted to stop by. It’s always great to be there and receive support from the congregation there.
Broadway Social - Small Ensembles
The Small Ensembles also had a concert at Broadway Social the next day where they performed all their Christmas Repertoire. We sang for all the patrons there that night and everyone loved it. It was incredibly fun, and there was even caroling with the audience at the end of the night.
Caroling
There was caroling during the season as well! All members of the Concert Choir were invited to participate in caroling around the area. They were able to go to Dancing Bear Lodge and Asbury Place as well as other locations. Pictured here are Connor Goins (class of '24), Phoebe Rudd (class of '26), and one of our staff members, Hannah Strong. Everyone really enjoyed themselves with the caroling!
Big Christmas Concert
The grand finale of it all was the Christmas Concert held in the Clayton Center for the Arts on Tuesday, December 6th. Everyone performed there, including the Maryville College Community Orchestra and the Community Chorus. Everyone did an excellent job putting everything together. The decorations were astounding, as always, and the Clayton Center for the Arts Staff did an excellent job with them. The staging and programming were fantastic. It's always cool for us watching the different musical groups appear around the theater. The music was beautiful and it was so fun to put on the concert. It was an experience that we won’t forget.
The Choir Ugly Christmas Get Together
Can't be Christmas without the Choir Christmas Ugly Sweater Get together! We had a great time enjoying ourselves after all our hard work for the concert. There were snacks, games, and, most importantly, Dance Friday! It was a very fun way to close out the Fall Semester, and everyone had a great time.
